Coachfinder currently verifies coach qualifications through a manual process. This involves reviewing the
certificates and documents a Coach submits, and directly contacting the issuing institution to confirm the certificate's
legitimacy. This means your qualification details may be disclosed to that issuer solely to confirm authenticity — no
other personal information is shared with issuers beyond what is necessary for this purpose. This applies to all
Coaches, including those in countries the Platform expands to in future, until an automated verification process is
introduced.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do share limited
information with: our payment processor (Peach), to process transactions; certificate-issuing institutions, solely to
confirm coach qualifications as described in Section 4; other coaches or clients, limited to what is necessary to
facilitate a booking; and service providers who support our operations, under confidentiality obligations. We may
also disclose information where required by law.
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable technical and organisational
measures to protect against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as
required by law. Verification documents are retained for the duration of a Coach's active registration and for a
reasonable period afterward for compliance purposes.
Under POPIA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of
inaccurate information, request deletion subject to our legal retention obligations, object to certain processing, and
