Whether you are an individual coach building your profile or an organisation managing multiple coaches, Coachfinder provides the tools to manage bookings and connect with the sports community.

Yes. If you're registering as an institution — a school, university, club, academy, or brand partner — you get your own Coachfinder dashboard, the same setup as a coaching business, where you can add multiple coaches under one account, each with their own verified profile. Your dashboard only goes live and starts accepting bookings once you've added at least one coach.

A verified badge means that Coachfinder has reviewed and verified the coach’s qualifications and credentials before they are allowed to accept bookings on the platform. Verification is not automatic — every individual coach, as well as every coach registered under a school, academy, university, or club, goes through the same verification process.

To become a verified coach on Coachfinder, you will need to provide information and supporting documents that allow us to review your qualifications, coaching experience, and credentials. Every coach goes through the same verification process before being approved to accept bookings on the platform. The verified badge confirms that your submitted information has been reviewed and approved by Coachfinder.

Search for a coach by sport, category, or location. Browse available businesses and coaches, select the coach that best suits your needs, choose an available time, and confirm your booking. You will receive your booking confirmation details by email.

Both. Coachfinder is built primarily for coaches and institutions to run their coaching services, but every listed coach is verified — so athletes and parents can search, compare, and book with confidence.

Both. Whether you are just starting out and building your first client base, or you are an established coach or institution looking to grow your reach and manage bookings more easily, Coachfinder works the same way — get verified, set up your profile, and start taking bookings.

After verification, coaches receive 30 free sessions or 1 month of full platform access — whichever limit is reached first. If you upgrade to a paid plan before your free access ends, any unused free sessions carry over into your new plan. If you don't upgrade in time, unused free sessions expire and do not carry over.

Once your free access period ends, your account will need to move onto a paid Coachfinder plan to continue accepting bookings through the platform. Full pricing and plan options are available on our Pricing page.

You can renew or upgrade your plan at any time while your current plan is active. Any unused sessions will carry over immediately into your new plan. Monthly plans are prepaid and do not automatically renew.

VIP annual plans provide a fixed 12-month access period with all included sessions pooled into one total session balance. You can use your sessions at your own pace throughout the year, without a monthly session limit. Annual/VIP plans are prepaid upfront and are designed for coaches who want longer-term access and flexibility.

Any unused sessions will automatically carry over into one additional month, and your profile will remain active and able to accept bookings during this period. You will receive a warning 3 days before the carry-over month ends, giving you a final opportunity to renew. Any unused carried-over sessions expire when the additional month ends. If your sessions run out or the additional month ends — whichever happens first — your profile will be paused if you have not renewed. Nothing is deleted, and you can reactivate your account at any time by purchasing a new plan.

Coachfinder supports a wide range of sports and coaching services. Whether you are looking for individual coaching, team training, or specialised skills development, you can find coaches across different sporting categories. From traditional team sports to individual disciplines and fitness coaching, Coachfinder is built to support coaches and athletes across the South African sports community.

Coachfinder currently charges a 4% platform fee on your plan cost, which covers the administration involved in setting up and maintaining your Coachfinder plan. There are no separate fees for coach withdrawals — withdrawals are processed twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays at no additional charge. If any platform fee changes in the future, coaches and institutions will be notified by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

Yes. Even as an independent coach working solo, you can list separate services within a single sport — for example, if you coach soccer, you could set up Goalkeeper Coaching, Defensive Coaching, and Forward Coaching as distinct service listings under your profile, rather than one generic "soccer coach" entry. This isn't limited to academies or institutions — a one-person coaching business can do the same thing to show up for more specific searches and get more value out of a single plan. How many services you can list depends on your plan: Bronze allows up to 2, Silver up to 3, and Gold up to 5. Every service still draws from the same plan and session pool.

(New Feature Coming) Yes. When booking a standard session with a coach, you can add more than one athlete to that same booking — for example, if you're bringing two of your children to the same time slot. Each additional athlete is billed and counted as its own session.

(New Feature Coming) A Group Training Event is a clinic or multi-day training block that a coach sets up for a group of athletes at once, rather than one-on-one. Invited athletes (or their parent/guardian, if under 18) accept or decline before a deadline set by the coach, and payment is collected upfront once accepted. If a coach cancels the whole event, everyone who paid is refunded through our standard refund process.

(New Feature Coming) We rank coaches by total sessions completed, with individual coaches and institutions ranked separately so it stays a fair comparison. There are three competitions running at once — Coach of the Month, a 6-Month leaderboard, and Coach of the Year — each showing a Top 20, with the Top 3 on the podium. It's public, so anyone can see who's leading.

Coachfinder Ambassadors are a select group of South Africa's top coaches who represent the platform with a short introductory video, featured on our public Coach Ambassadors page. In exchange, selected Ambassadors receive a free year of our VIP Gold Plan. Some Ambassadors are invited directly by our team, and coaches can also put themselves forward using the nomination form on the Coach Ambassadors page — every nomination is reviewed before an Ambassador is selected.

Yes. While some Ambassadors are hand-picked and invited by our team, any coach can put themselves forward by filling in the nomination form on the Coach Ambassadors page, telling us why they'd represent Coachfinder well. Our team reviews every nomination, and selected coaches go through the same process as invited Ambassadors — a short video and a free year of VIP Gold.

Not any coach — to nominate yourself for the Coach Ambassador Programme, you need to be a certified South African coach, at any level. We're also planning a Provincial Ambassador Programme with a free year of VIP Bronze in the near future, so register now and watch this space.

Once a client's session is marked completed, the fee lands in your Coachfinder wallet. You can request a withdrawal at any time, for any amount you have available — there's no minimum. We verify each request automatically in a matter of seconds, and approved withdrawals go out by EFT every business day at 18:00. From there it's normal bank timing: usually 1–2 business days, sometimes instant. There's no fee for withdrawing your funds.
